Troubleshooting Tips for PDFs

Below is a list of helpful suggestions if you are having issues with viewing Adobe PDF's on the B2B website.

This is normally due to not using the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Please make sure that you have installed the latest version of Adobe Reader on your PC.

Please note:while there are several other PDF readers available, State Farm finds that viewing the PDF's in an updated version of Adobe Reader on a desktop PC offers the most functionality. Certain features of the PDF may not work when using another PDF reader or when viewing the message on a mobile device.

Install the latest version of Adobe:

  1. Open Reader or Acrobat.
  2. Choose Help > Check For Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
  3. Restart the computer.

OR

Refresh or reload the page
Often, just refreshing the page allows the PDF to fully load.

  1. Hold down the Shift key and press the Refresh or Reload button in the browser.

OR

Use a different web browser
Certain conditions on your computer, such as security settings or browser cookies, can prevent you from viewing a PDF. Often, the fastest solution is to try to open the page using a different browser. Try any of the following browsers that you have not already tried: Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.

OR

Repair Reader or Acrobat
Reader or Acrobat could be damaged. Repairing the installation is a quick troubleshooting safeguard.

Repair from within Reader or Acrobat
(Reader) Choose Help > Repair Adobe Reader Installation.
(Acrobat) Choose Help > Repair Acrobat Installation.
